Coffee is full of antioxidants

Coffee beans are the seeds of coffee berries and are a rich natural source of antoxidants.  Drinking one or two cups of coffee a day can make a contribution to your antioxidant intake, as part of a balanced diet that also includes fresh fruit and vegetables.

What are antioxidants?

Antioxidants are naturally occuring in many fruits and vegetables as well as coffee and tea.  Antioxidants can protect cells from the effect of free radicals, which are produced by the body during it's normal daily processes, or as a result of environmental influences such as tobacco smoke, pollution and sunlight.

Anitoxidants in food and drink are thought to contribute to your body's natural protection of cells and tissues.
